How Wolves Den Training Center Stands Out in St. Louis’ Martial Arts Community

Unique Programs at Wolves Den

Wolves Den Training Center: St. Louis’s Home for Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Kickboxing, and MMA — For Kids and Adults
At Wolves Den Training Center in Lake Saint Louis, we’ve built one of the most complete martial arts programs in the St. Louis area. Whether you’re a five-year-old picking up your first gi, a busy parent looking to burn stress at a morning kickboxing class, or a competitor chasing a podium at your next tournament, our schedule, coaching staff, and training culture are built to get you there. Everything runs out of our gym at 6893 Lake Saint Louis Blvd, and the full class calendar lives at wolvesdenstl.com.
A Full Weekly Schedule Built Around Real Life
One of the most common questions we get from new students is simple: “Do you have a class that fits my schedule?” The answer is almost always yes. Wolves Den runs day classes and night classes seven days a week, so shift workers, remote professionals, stay-at-home parents, and students can all find a training window that works.
Adult day classes start as early as 7:00 AM with gi jiu-jitsu, and continue with mid-morning boxing, kickboxing, MMA, and both gi and no-gi jiu-jitsu options through late morning. If your best training window is before the workday starts or during a lunch break, our morning block is one of the deepest in the region.
Adult evening classes run from 5:00 PM through 7:00 PM most weeknights, covering advanced jiu-jitsu, no-gi, boxing, kickboxing, MMA (invite only on select nights), and dedicated sparring sessions on Fridays. Weekends are for skill-building and competition prep — Saturday’s jiu-jitsu/kickboxing combo class and Sunday’s competition jiu-jitsu class are where a lot of our tournament athletes sharpen up.
The kids’ schedule is designed to layer in throughout the week without overwhelming a young athlete’s life: Kids Jiu-Jitsu (both gi and no-gi) runs Monday through Thursday at 5:15 PM, with Kickboxing at 6:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Youth MMA on Friday evenings, and Youth Wrestling on Saturday mornings.

Programs for Kids: Confidence, Discipline, and Real Skills
Our kids martial arts classes in St. Louis are built to develop the whole athlete — physically, mentally, and socially. Young students at Wolves Den learn:
• Kids Jiu-Jitsu (Gi and No-Gi): The foundation of leverage-based self-defense. Kids learn to control bigger opponents, escape bad positions, and stay calm under pressure — skills that translate directly to bully-proofing and confidence at school.
• Kids Kickboxing: Striking mechanics, footwork, coordination, and cardio in a controlled, coach-led environment. It’s one of the best fitness programs a kid can do at any age.
• Youth MMA: For students ready to blend striking and grappling under one ruleset.
• Youth Wrestling: Old-school toughness, body awareness, and mental grit. Wrestling is the single best skill-builder we know of for young athletes who want to excel in any combat sport.
Parents consistently tell us their kids show up more focused at school, handle frustration better, and carry themselves with more confidence within the first few months of training.
Programs for Adults: Fitness, Self-Defense, and Competition
For adults, Wolves Den is three gyms in one — a fitness gym, a self-defense school, and a competition team — with programs across four core disciplines:
• Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — Our deepest program, with gi, no-gi, advanced, and competition-focused classes throughout the week. BJJ is the most proven grappling art in the world for real self-defense, and it’s a workout that gets both your body and your problem-solving sharper every session.
• Kickboxing — Our most popular fitness entry point. Expect real striking technique, heavy-bag work, pad rounds, and conditioning that will change your body composition faster than any treadmill ever will.
• Boxing — Fundamentals-first coaching in footwork, head movement, and combinations. Great as a standalone program or as a striking base for MMA.
• Wrestling — Adult wrestling classes are rare in this region, and ours are open to beginners. Nothing builds mental toughness like wrestling.
• MMA — Blends everything together. Some MMA slots are invite-only to keep the training environment safe and productive for competitors, but there are open MMA classes throughout the week for members building the full skillset.

Dedicated sparring sessions on Friday evenings let members of all disciplines pressure-test what they’ve learned in a supervised, controlled environment.
All Experience Levels Welcome
The biggest myth about combat sports gyms is that you need to already be in shape or already know how to fight. You don’t. Every class at Wolves Den is structured to welcome complete beginners while still pushing experienced competitors. New students are paired with the right training partners, coaches scale drills to skill level, and our culture is one of the most beginner-friendly in the sport — because we were all white belts once.
If you’ve never thrown a punch, never taken a shot, or never rolled a day in your life, your first class will still feel productive and doable. If you’re a veteran of the mats, you’ll find training partners who will push you.
A Track Record in Competition and Real-World Results
The proof is on the mats and in the cages. Wolves Den students regularly compete — and win — at local and regional jiu-jitsu tournaments, wrestling events, and MMA promotions across Missouri and the Midwest. Our competition jiu-jitsu class on Sundays and our invite-only MMA sessions exist specifically to prepare athletes for the podium and the cage.
Just as importantly, we measure success by what happens outside of competition:
• Members who’ve lost 30, 50, even 100+ pounds through consistent kickboxing and jiu-jitsu training.
• Adults — including women, professionals, and older students — who now carry themselves with genuine self-defense capability.
• Kids who went from shy and unfocused to confident, disciplined, and physically capable.
Fitness, self-defense, and competition aren’t separate tracks at Wolves Den — they’re three outcomes of the same daily training.
